With less than 7000 total units produced between 1988-1993 worldwide, 500 imported to the US this year, this is a unique bike to grab. Only one with this unique scheme.
The idea for this build was to keep it as intended by original owner, but modernize it with current tech.
Bike completely tore down and built back up utilizing fresh components throughout.
Water/oil pump rebuilt, full clutch pack replaced, brake calipers and masters rebuilt, ABS flushed and cycled...fully functional. All seals, bearings, o-rings, and rubber lines replaced. Complete fuel system upgrade and replacement (10-hole Denso injectors, tank internals). Rear rotor upgraded to match front rotors. Transmission tore down, inspected, and rebuilt. New front and rear Avon tires. Full synthetics throughout. Forks and steering stabilizer rebuilt. Valve clearance in spec, throttle bodies synced.
No expense spared in bringing this bike back to spec and dependable for the next 30 years.
Bike was resprayed by original owner... originally in Marrakesh Red, now a black metallic and hand painted accents in yellow to match the wheels/final/trans.
There is some blemishes to the paint after 25+ years, but overall, in great condition...as seen in the pictures
Bike is offered at a very reasonable $12,500 USD. Bike is fully functional and ready to go...just ride! Having and riding a K1 is a very unique experience...grab a piece of the flying brick history!
